A screening encounter is one part of a wider pathway. MOBHOPE’s common research framework follows six connected stages to understand where people encounter barriers and how mobile teams can support continuity of care.
Community outreach
Meet people in community settings, build trust and explain the available services.
Screening
Offer appropriate screening with clear information and consent, according to local protocols.
Confirmation
Connect screening findings with the confirmatory assessment required by the local clinical pathway.
Referral
Help people reach the appropriate service through agreed referral arrangements.
Linkage to treatment
Support contact with the clinical team and access to treatment when indicated.
Follow-up
Document continuity of care, identify barriers and support people through the next steps.

Shared principles, local practice
The three units contribute experience from different health systems. Common definitions, screening and referral procedures and monitoring indicators support learning across countries while allowing local adaptation. Research participation is voluntary and does not determine access to care.
