Respect, confidentiality and listening are central to MOBHOPE’s approach. The anti-stigma programme brings together existing resources and planned implementation and evaluation activities.
Professional learning
Practical cases help health and social care professionals reflect on respectful communication, confidentiality, consent and access to care. The professional learning challenge is separate from the questionnaires about service users’ experiences.
Listening to experiences
The WHA/ECDC questionnaire supports understanding of experiences and barriers among people living with hepatitis. Participation is voluntary; information and care remain available whether or not a person takes part.
Information and support
Multilingual leaflets and estigma.info provide accessible information on dignity, rights and support. Resources are intended for use by mobile teams, professionals and people using services.
A shared European approach
Experience and findings will inform the stigma and dignity component of the future standardised mobile service package. This contribution is being developed as part of the project’s wider work.
Resources available; evaluation ongoing
Published tools and materials are available for use. Their publication does not demonstrate that stigma has been reduced. Professional learning scores and service users’ reported experiences answer different questions and must be evaluated separately.
Survey implementation: update from the first-year report
According to the interim report dated 29 October 2026, stigma data collection began in Spain and Croatia in September 2026; implementation in Portugal was still pending. Country questionnaire links are available below, but a configured link does not establish that local data collection has begun.
