MOBHOPE Kick-off Meeting in Madrid: Two Intense Days of Collaboration and Field

On 4–5 December 2025, we successfully held the kick-off meeting of the EU4Health project MOBHOPE at Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón in Madrid. It was an intense and very productive two-day meeting that officially launched our work on innovative mobile care and street medicine models for vulnerable populations.
The opening session was honoured by the presence of institutional representatives from our hospital and key national and international bodies:

We also connected online with colleagues from the SHIELD Joint Action, strengthening synergies between MOBHOPE and other European initiatives working on infection-related cancers, HIV and viral hepatitis.
Beyond the meeting rooms, the programme included a field visit to our mobile units in Cañada Real, where partners were able to see first-hand how street-based services operate and how outreach, testing and linkage to care are organised on the ground. The feedback from all participants was extremely positive.
Overall, the kick-off meeting confirmed a strong shared commitment among all partners and institutions to make MOBHOPE a practical, impactful project, bringing liver health and infectious disease prevention closer to the people who need it most.
